Picture this: 4/5ths of the Chao family travelling up 880 on the way to Napa, discussing youngest sibling Patrick's academic future and summer plans. "What about private school?" Mom asks, to the vocal dismay of her two public-schooled daughters. "How about military school?" Lydia counters. Who's the missing family member? Patrick, of course.

Cut to Father's Day dinner last weekend when the family again assailed Patrck for his lack of academic motivation, and namely his aversion to writing (a skill in which his older sisters both excel). I forget who thought of this ingenious idea, but the blog for the Chao kids was born. And so I bring you this, ourinaugural post, in hopes that there will be many more to come.
